Certified Lifeguard Yale Campus Recreation New Haven, CT Job Details Part-time $18 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Lifeguard Training Customer service Medical emergency response First Aid Certification AED Certification First aid and CPR Full Job Description Yale Campus Recreation is seeking qualified lifeguards to support aquatic operations at Payne Whitney Gymnasium. Lifeguards play an essential role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all participants by monitoring facility use, enforcing policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations. Job Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of all swimmers and patrons in the pool area Enforce all pool rules, regulations, and policies in a consistent and professional manner Respond effectively to emergencies and provide care in accordance with training and certification standards Conduct regular safety checks of the pool, deck, and equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all users Perform additional duties as assigned by the Aquatics Coordinator Qualifications Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification or equivalent Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification Current First Aid certification Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to remain alert, focused, and responsive in all situations Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professionalism Priority will be given to candidates who currently hold a valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification or equivalent. Lifeguard Certification Opportunity Candidates who are not currently certified are still encouraged to apply. American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification courses are available on-site through Yale Campus Recreation.
