Job Description

Overview We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of all pool visitors at our aquatic facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong water safety skills, excellent guest service abilities, and experience in emergency response protocols. This role is vital in maintaining a safe, enjoyable environment for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Prior lifeguard experience and certifications in
CPR, AED
operation, and first aid are highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic aquatic setting while promoting water safety education and public safety procedures. Duties Monitor pool activities continuously to prevent accidents and respond promptly to emergencies Enforce safety rules and regulations to ensure guest compliance and safety Perform water rescues using proper techniques and respond effectively to medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest or injuries Administer first aid and CPR as needed, following established protocols Conduct regular pool maintenance including cleaning, chemical checks, and equipment inspections to maintain water quality and safety standards Provide water safety instruction to guests, including children and inexperienced swimmers Assist with pool area setup, breakdown, and general maintenance tasks such as pool cleaning and equipment upkeep Offer excellent guest services by assisting visitors with questions, providing directions, and ensuring a positive experience Respond to guest inquiries professionally while maintaining a safe environment for all patrons Qualifications Proven lifeguard experience with current certifications in
CPR, AED
operation, first aid, and basic life support Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform water rescues efficiently Knowledge of water safety instruction, public safety procedures, and aquatic facility operations Experience working with children and providing exceptional customer service in a public setting Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and effectively, including cardiac arrest response and medical emergency protocols Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., pool equipment or supplies) Prior experience with pool maintenance or aquatic facility management is preferred but not required Must be alert, attentive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team This position is essential for maintaining a safe aquatic environment while providing outstanding guest experiences.
