Lifeguards help create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for guests at the City of St. Peters' indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities. As a Lifeguard Attendant, you'll be responsible for monitoring pool areas, responding to emergencies, enforcing safety rules, and providing great customer service. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to build valuable skills in communication, teamwork, responsibility, and emergency response.
LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION TRAINING AVAILABLE!
No previous lifeguarding experience is required. The City provides training through the Jeff Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certification Program for qualified candidates.
Normal Shift:
Varies based on facility and operational needs. Key Responsibilities Monitor pool areas and maintain constant awareness of guest activity and safety Enforce facility rules and safety procedures in a professional and respectful manner Recognize and respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies Provide first aid and emergency care when necessary Provide friendly, helpful, and professional customer service to guests Participate in required in-service training and skill reviews Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of aquatic facilities Work as part of a team to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment Qualifications Must be at least 15 years old Previous lifeguard experience is preferred, but not required Must successfully complete the Jeff Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certification prior to beginning work Must be able to demonstrate the physical ability and skills necessary to perform lifeguard duties Why Join Us?
