• Bellevue Aquatic Center (Saturdays 8am-12pm) and/or Redmond Pool (Saturdays 4:00-8:00 PM | Starting Jan 2027) Jump In Swim Academy — a premier private swim school with 5-star ratings across the Greater Seattle area — is hiring for our Bellevue and/or Redmond and seeking a dedicated, experienced Swim Instructor to join our growing team.

About Jump In Swim Academy At Jump In Swim Academy, we're redefining what swim lessons mean. Our mission is to teach true water competence — not just strokes. We focus on real-life water safety through lessons that include swimming with clothes on, floating, treading water, and building overall confidence in unpredictable situations. We believe every swimmer, regardless of age or ability, deserves the skills to be safe, capable, and confident in any aquatic environment. Our personalized, private (1:1) and semi-private (1:2) lessons allow instructors to tailor instruction to each swimmer's needs in a positive, encouraging, and professional setting.

Saturdays 8am-12pm (Bellevue) and/or 4-8pm (Redmond)

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate based on experience. $32

• 38/hour Key Responsibilities Teach private and semi-private lessons (1-2 students) for all ages and abilities Develop and implement lesson plans that emphasize water safety, survival skills, and stroke development Foster a safe, supportive, and fun environment that builds confidence in every student Evaluate swimmer progress and communicate effectively with parents and students Maintain a clean, organized pool space before and after lessons Demonstrate reliability and independence — this position operates autonomously with minimal oversight Incorporate 3-4 minutes of play-based learning at the end of each lesson to promote joy in the water Qualifications Must be 21 years or older Minimum 1 year of private swim instruction experience Excellent swimming skills and thorough understanding of all major strokes Strong communicator with a professional, encouraging teaching style Knowledge of child development and positive behavior management CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to start) Dependable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality instruction Why Join Jump In Swim Academy?
