Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Houseman to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities. Your proactive approach will help maintain our high standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction while supporting the smooth operation of our hotel environment. Duties Perform floor cleaning, vacuuming, and general custodial tasks to maintain spotless guest rooms and public spaces. Handle cleaning with various equipment and chemical agents safely and efficiently, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to linen, supplies, or equipment movement throughout the property. Support hotel housekeeping management by ensuring sanitation standards are met across all areas, including bathrooms, hallways, and common areas. Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest safety at all times. Maintain cleanliness of floors using appropriate floor care techniques and equipment designed for industrial cleaning environments. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests for assistance or additional amenities. Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a hospitality or hotel setting is preferred. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards is highly desirable. Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and chemical agents is essential. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) ensures safe handling of cleaning chemicals. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members.
