The schedule is Monday through Friday 30 hours per week. Occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays are required when a family has events, and/or residence needs to be prepared for the family's arrival. The ability to work around the family's schedule while at the same time cleaning and organizing efficiently is essential. Applicants need to be honest, and trustworthy, understand the importance of maintaining discretion (confidentiality agreement required), be collaborative to working with family office and domestic employees (e.g., director of residences, private chefs, drivers, housekeepers, etc.), and be experienced working with principals that are around residence often (discreet and staying out of the way is essential), adept at organizing, detail-oriented with the know-how to thoroughly deep clean, knowledgeable with cleaning various surfaces, experienced assisting with entertaining, and skilled with laundry and linen care. Candidates must be comfortable working around family members and grown children. Candidates with many years of private full-time housekeeper experience working in large square-footage residences are required. Family is open to local candidates and domestic relocations. The start date is flexible for the right candidate.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Cleaning:
Cleaning and organization of 5,000+ square feet of home Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies Sweep and mop floors Dust and polish furniture Clean fine furniture, antique rugs, and specialty items (following specific care instructions from the director of residences) Clean metal fixtures and fittings Empty and clean trash containers Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers Wipe down glass surfaces Wipe down refrigerators, wine fridges, mini-fridges, ice makers, etc. Makeup beds and change linens clean entryway of the home Clean appliances Polish Silver Wash dishes and clean the kitchen Moving the 32 gallons of trash and recycle bins every week and move them back when they are done (we have 6 bins) Care for the much-loved family dog (Giving bath every two weeks or as required) Other Duties Pack and unpack principals for travel as requested (use packing squares, packing organizer, and tissue paper) Keep cleaning supplies and household inventory Laundry for clothing and linens (sort, wash, fold, etc.) Iron clothing and linens as needed (sheets and clothing) Steam clothing as needed Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition Monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements (if you see something, report to the estate manager by sending a picture of the video) Manage dry cleaning, dry cleaning inventory, and inspect clothing and linens upon return Run errands (e.g., seamstress, drop off donations, etc.) Returns (Pack, print out shipping labels, drop off at the location, etc.) Florist (Drop off vases to the florist, pick up flowers, deliver and place the flowers at different properties, etc) Care for indoor plants Assistance with entertaining (e.g., preparation for the event, helping during the event, clean up, etc.) Put out an Alhambra 5-gallon bottle at the door. Pick up and load the Alhambra 5-gallon bottles into the trolley and the garage. Display seasonal holiday decorations as advised by the Director of Residences

REQUIREMENTS
5-10+ years of recent and consistent full-time housekeeper experience 3-4 references from domestic positions Available to work 30 hours per week Legally able to work in the United States Driver's license and clean driving record Extensive background checks, motor vehicle checks, and credit check Seeking longevity / long-term commitment (e.g., at least 2-5+ years commitment) Live in commutable proximity to the family's residence Animal lover, comfortable with small dogs Able to lift 35lbs (e.g. Carry Alhambra water bottles into home from the curb, replace water bottles in large dispensers, move outdoor furniture, heaters, etc.)
