We are seeking an exceptionally experienced, detail-oriented Estate-Level Housekeeper/Cook for a private household. This Position requires availability to work all weekends as part of the normal schedule, with corresponding time off provided during the week. Also availability to travel with family as needed. This position is ideal for a professional who takes genuine pride in maintaining a beautiful home to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, presentation, and care. We are looking for someone dependable, energetic, polished, proactive, and capable of working independently without needing constant direction.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years of professional housekeeping and cooking experience in a private household Verifiable professional references are required Demonstrated experience working in a high-standard private residence Excellent attention to detail and exceptionally high standards of cleanliness Strong organizational and time-management skills Energetic and productive throughout the day Positive, professional, respectful, and can-do attitude Able to anticipate household needs and take initiative Comfortable handling delicate, valuable, and high-quality furnishings, fabrics, finishes, and household items Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug testing Must be available to work all weekends as part of the normal schedule, with corresponding time off provided during the week
COMPREHENSIVE HOUSEKEEPING RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the household at an exceptional estate-level standard, including but not limited to: Daily Cleaning & Detailed Housekeeping Thorough cleaning and maintenance of the entire residence Detailed dusting of furniture, fixtures, décor, moldings, baseboards, doors, frames, and hard-to-reach areas Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and detailed floor care Cleaning and maintaining hardwood, stone, tile, marble, and other specialty flooring Carpet vacuuming and detailed carpet care Cleaning windows, glass doors, mirrors, and glass surfaces as needed Detailed kitchen cleaning, including countertops, appliances, cabinets, sinks, fixtures, and floors Thorough cleaning and sanitizing of bathrooms Cleaning showers, tubs, toilets, vanities, mirrors, fixtures, tile, grout, and floors Bedroom cleaning and meticulous room presentation Changing and making beds to a high hotel/estate standard Maintaining guest rooms and preparing them for visitors Maintaining common areas, living rooms, dining areas, offices, hallways, and other household spaces Emptying and managing household trash and recycling Maintaining a consistently neat, fresh, orderly, and beautiful appearance throughout the home Organization Maintaining highly organized living spaces Organizing closets, drawers, cabinets, pantries, linen closets, storage areas, and household supplies Keeping household items properly arranged and easy to locate Identifying organizational needs and proactively improving household systems Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, laundry products, paper goods, and other household necessities Reporting items that need replacement, repair, or attention Exceptional Laundry & Garment Care This position requires outstanding laundry and garment-care skills.
Responsibilities include:
Sorting laundry appropriately by color, fabric, temperature, and care requirements Proper washing and drying of everyday clothing and household linens Understanding fabric-care labels and specialized laundering requirements Expert care of delicate garments and fine fabrics Hand washing and specialty garment care when appropriate Proper stain identification and stain treatment Folding clothing and linens neatly and consistently Hanging and organizing clothing appropriately Exceptional ironing skills Steaming garments when appropriate Proper care of delicate, luxury, and specialty fabrics Changing, washing, folding, and organizing bedding and linens Ironing sheets, pillowcases, table linens, and other household textiles as needed Maintaining organized linen closets and laundry areas Taking appropriate precautions to prevent shrinking, discoloration, damage, or fabric deterioration Cooking & Kitchen Support Preparing fresh, wholesome meals for the household Following recipes accurately while also being comfortable cooking independently Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen before, during, and after food preparation Proper food storage and refrigerator organization Maintaining excellent food-safety and sanitation practices Washing and properly storing dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment Monitoring household food supplies and communicating when items need replenishment
