Duties Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and industrial cleaning using appropriate equipment like vacuums and floor scrubbers. Maintain sanitation by properly managing cleaning supplies, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS), and following hotel emergency procedures. Assist with public areas by cleaning lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other common spaces to ensure a pristine environment. Support hotel housekeeping management by completing detailed reports, documenting maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Lift and move heavy items or equipment safely during cleaning tasks, practicing manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services with a strong understanding of sanitation and cleanliness standards. Skilled in using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and chemical sprayers while following safety protocols. Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and familiarity with safety data sheets (SDS) for safe use of cleaning agents. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks efficiently without compromising safety or quality. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction. Experience with hotel housekeeping management systems or custodial record keeping is a plus. Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
