Job Summary Best Western in Ashland, KY is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will maintain cleanliness and order within our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Responsibilities Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure hygiene standards are met. Change bed linens, towels, and other linens as required. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report when stock is low. Follow established procedures for cleaning rooms and public areas efficiently. Ensure that all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working condition. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties. Skills Proven experience in custodial or housekeeping roles within the hotel or hospitality industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment. Familiarity with housekeeping management practices is a plus. Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks as needed. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and staff.
