Job Description

Tool Room Attendant Job Summary The Tool Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining, organizing, issuing, receiving, and tracking tools, equipment, and related supplies. This position ensures that tools are readily available, properly stored, inspected, and maintained while keeping accurate inventory records and supporting maintenance, production, and other shop personnel. Key Responsibilities Issue and receive tools, equipment, and supplies to and from employees. Maintain an organized and clean tool room and storage areas. Inspect returned tools and equipment for damage, wear, or missing components. Maintain accurate records of tools issued, returned, repaired, lost, or replaced. Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Label, identify, and properly store tools and equipment. Coordinate tool repairs, calibration, replacement, and preventive maintenance as needed. Clean dies Monitor inventory levels and request replacement tools or supplies when necessary. Ensure tools and equipment are available for scheduled maintenance and production activities. Follow company safety procedures and ensure proper handling and storage of equipment. Assist employees in locating appropriate tools and equipment for specific tasks. Maintain records using inventory systems, spreadsheets, or computerized maintenance systems. Report damaged, missing, or unsafe equipment to the appropriate supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a tool room, warehouse, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred. Previous machinist experience Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and shop equipment. Good organizational and record-keeping skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to accurately count, identify, and track inventory. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Ability to safely lift and move tools and equipment as required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, and move tools and equipment. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and work in a shop or industrial environment. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Pay Range $26.00 - $28.00 based on experience #WFPROGRAMS
