Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including vacuuming, dusting, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and recreational spaces by executing routine cleaning tasks. Handle chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a secure environment. Use janitorial equipment effectively for tasks such as floor cleaning, carpet care, and industrial cleaning processes. Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while following safety protocols to prevent injuries. Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services with excellent customer service skills. Follow hotel emergency procedures during incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety at all times. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, supply inventories, and safety compliance documentation as part of hotel housekeeping management standards. Experience Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles within hospitality environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and industrial cleaning equipment is essential. Knowledge of chemical agent handling, safety data sheets (SDS), and proper use of cleaning chemicals ensures safe work practices. Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or hotel settings demonstrates capability in managing diverse cleaning tasks efficiently. Experience with hotel housekeeping management systems or protocols is advantageous but not mandatory. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling comfortably over extended periods is required. Strong customer service skills combined with a professional attitude will help foster positive guest interactions and uphold the hotel's reputation for excellence.
