In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of guest rooms and suites, ensuring a welcoming environment that exceeds expectations. Duties Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms and suites, including floors, furniture, bathrooms, and linens, adhering to established sanitation standards. Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, mops, buffers, and cleaning carts to ensure efficient room turnover. Properly handle chemical agents in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Perform heavy lifting when moving furniture or supplies and manual handling tasks with care to prevent injury. Maintain floor care by performing routine floor cleaning procedures such as vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to uphold high cleanliness standards. Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines at all times to ensure personal safety and that of guests. Document cleaning activities accurately, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure all custodial tasks are completed efficiently. Qualifications Previous hotel housekeeping experience or custodial experience is highly preferred; industrial cleaning or janitorial background is a plus. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) protocols. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for long periods, and perform manual handling tasks comfortably. Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety standards within the hospitality industry. Experience in hotel housekeeping management or janitorial supervision is advantageous but not required; a proactive approach to hospitality excellence is essential.
