Join our Hatchery team and play a vital role in supporting safe, high-quality poultry production. In this hands-on position, you'll operate the Embrex vaccination system, transfer eggs from incubators to hatcher dollies, maintain equipment cleanliness, and support daily hatchery operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Pull eggs from incubators and load them onto the Embrex Machine. Stack eggs from the Embrex Machine onto hatcher dollies. Clean setter floors, fan blades, and other hatchery equipment. Provide backup support for egg setter operations as needed. Clean the Embrex Machine, hatcher halls, and fogging equipment daily. Discard eggs from the egg remover into the vacuum system daily. Wash boxes as scheduled. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety, biosecurity, and animal welfare guidelines. Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. Support team members by sharing skills and knowledge while promoting a positive work atmosphere. Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives. Demonstrate flexibility by performing tasks in different areas of the hatchery as needed. Perform other duties as assigned to meet production goals.
What You'll Need:
Education:
High School Diploma/GED preferred.
Experience:
Previous hatchery, poultry, agricultural, or manufacturing experience is a plus.
Certification:
Embrex Certification required or ability to obtain certification.
Skills:
Good hand-eye coordination, ability to read numbers and distinguish colors, strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to continuously stand and walk throughout the shift; frequently lift, bend, twist, squat, push, pull, reach, stretch, kneel, and perform repetitive movements.
