Key Responsibilities Production Performance Follow established procedures and best practices to achieve production targets, dough yield, line efficiency, and profitability goals. Independently adjust machine settings and process parameters to maintain production standards and line performance. Conduct routine line inspections and monitor production data to identify opportunities for improvement and prevent losses. Monitor production runs and product changeovers, making necessary adjustments to minimize downtime, waste, and product loss. Troubleshoot process disruptions and equipment issues, performing minor adjustments and corrective actions when appropriate. Identify machinery malfunctions and communicate maintenance needs to the Production Supervisor and Maintenance Department. Support the successful execution of the daily production plan and communicate any issues that may impact production goals. Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor. Product Quality Monitor process parameters to ensure products meet Bakery De France quality standards. Conduct visual inspections of semi-finished and finished products throughout production. Identify quality deviations and take appropriate corrective action to maintain product consistency. Work proactively to prevent defects and ensure customer expectations are met. Safety, Sanitation & Workplace Organization Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe production environment. Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure proper operation, cleanliness, and readiness for production. Follow all food safety, GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements. Identify and address safety risks, equipment concerns, and process deviations, escalating issues when necessary. Ensure proper waste handling, housekeeping, and completion of cleaning and sanitation activities. Promote safe work practices and contribute to a culture of safety throughout the facility. Documentation & Communication Accurately complete all required production, quality, safety, and operational records in a timely manner. Ensure production data, quality checks, downtime, and process deviations are documented according to company procedures. Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, quality deviations, and safety matters to the Production Supervisor and other applicable departments. Support effective shift handoffs by providing accurate and complete operational information. Qualifications Previous manufacturing, food production, or bakery experience preferred. Experience operating industrial production equipment preferred. Prior leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge, skills and abilities Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, GMP, and HACCP requirements. Ability to operate, adjust, and troubleshoot production equipment. Ability to lead operators by providing direction, assigning tasks, and promoting accountability. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments. Strong attention to quality, safety, and operational standards. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production needs. Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving machinery.
Pay:
$25.00 - $26.50 per hour
