Monday-Friday, Split Shift (7 hours/day)
Morning:
6:00 AM•9:30 AM |
Afternoon:
2:30 PM•5:30 PM Important Notices•Please Read Carefully ✅ Candidates must be available to start immediately ✅ Interviews will be held in Falls Church, VA ✅ Do not apply if you cannot meet these requirements ✅ Candidates must be able to pass a FBI/Fingerprint ✅ Candidates must be able to pass a Drug Screening ✅ Candidates must have a demonstrated record of punctuality and good attendance Requirements & Qualifications Legible handwriting for completing daily paperwork and logs is required Able to work with minimal supervision and maintain high safety standards Ability to remain organized, calm, and professional in high-stress or emotional situations Ensure the safety and well-being of all students on the bus Assist the driver with daily vehicle inspections and cleanliness Provide students with instructions and guidance to reinforce bus safety rules Escort and physically assist students between the bus and their pickup/drop-off locations Support the driver during reverse maneuvers using proper hand signals and visual guidance Monitor and manage student behavior on the bus; suggest approved behavior strategies if needed Move throughout the bus to attend to student needs Communicate effectively with the driver, parents/guardians, and school staff Help prepare and submit necessary incident and attendance reports Operate any specialized equipment required by students with disabilities Maintain full compliance with
OSSE DST
policies and National School Bus Safety Standards Perform CPR and First Aid as needed (training provided) Participate in pre-service and ongoing training sessions as required Act as a point of contact during accidents or incidents and assist with documentation
