Job Description

General Description:
Student Success Stores 501(c)3 is seeking a passionate, highly motivated, self-starter to join our Operations team! Our mission is to provide anonymous stores filled with hygiene products, easy-to-eat food items, school-code clothing, and school supplies inside schools. By providing students with the essentials, we aim to ensure that each child starts the school day healthy, confident and ready to learn. The School Partnerships Ambassador will help us manage the logistics of our warehouse and seventeen Student Success Stores inside Columbus City Schools and Whitehall City Schools. What you'll gain: The School Partnerships Ambassador will have the opportunity to interact with schools' social workers, counselors, and school staff and gain interdisciplinary knowledge about non-profit organizations. If you are interested in understanding how schools operate, from administration and teaching to counseling and social work and have a passion for engaging with students, this is the right position for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students in grades 6-12 with shopping for basic need items in the school store and ensuring checkout procedures are followed Support daily operations of the school stores and the warehouse, ensuring that all products and donations are inventoried Implement, communicate, and maintain quality control policies and standard work procedures in the school stores Maintain the cleanliness of the school stores, warehouse and/or other event locations Support Student Success Store leadership in preparing for volunteer groups including but not limited to organizing checklists, setting up the space for volunteer activities, ensuring products are available and easily found Manage delivery and transport of products to school stores when needed Maintain communication with Student Success Stores leadership and school partners
Requirements:
Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office and Google suite (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Forms) Must have a valid driver's license and reliable car to transport to schools or warehouse. Must be able to fulfill position for at least an entire semester (i.e. Fall or Spring) Must pass FBI/CBI background check
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Passion for education in underserved communities Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and email communication Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Attention to accuracy and detail on all levels Creative problem-solving skills Self-starter with ability to work independently Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment Student Success Stores is an equal opportunity employer. Compensation:
