Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Bring your dedication and enthusiasm to support a high school student in a dynamic educational environment near Westerville, OH. This contract paraprofessional position offers the fulfilling opportunity to assist a student throughout her school day, ensuring consistent guidance, supervision, and encouragement. Your workday will begin in the morning at Darby High School, where you will meet the student and accompany her on the bus ride to Tolles. After the school day, you will ride with her back to Darby High School in the afternoon. Daily hours are approximately 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with bus riding included as part of the role.
Key Qualifications:
Experience working as a paraprofessional in school settings is highly preferred. Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive student relationships. Ability to maintain a safe and supportive environment throughout the school day and during transportation. Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to consistency. Capable of collaborating with teachers, transportation staff, and special education teams. Patience, flexibility, and a proactive attitude.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to a high school student across daily activities. Accompany the student on bus rides to and from partner schools. Encourage positive behaviors and engagement throughout the day. Communicate effectively with all educational team members regarding student progress or concerns. Contribute to the student's success by delivering attentive, caring assistance.
