Work Schedule :
Monday thru Friday, 9 am-10 pm and 9 am-5 pm on Saturday, time varies, 8-20 hours per week. Hourly Employment :
Roster positions are paid hourly and do not include benefits such as medical, dental, or vision insurance, life insurance, paid leave, or paid holidays.
Limited Hours :
Roster employees may work up to, but no more than, 1,000 hours in a 12-month period.
Pension System :
Roster positions are not eligible for membership in the city's pension system. While roster positions do not include benefits, they are often a pathway to full-time, benefited employment with the City. Brief Description of Work:
The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department is a dynamic team transforming the way needs are met and services are provided to our residents. We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Center Coordinator in the Lewis Recreation Center . Under direction from the Center Supervisor this person will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of the facility; to include the administrative operational and programming requirements of the facility. The Center Coordinator will serve as the front-line staff for the recreation center.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
Exemplify the City of Greensboro's Core Values (Honesty, Integrity, Respect, Stewardship) Field and respond to inquiries for classes, activities, events, services, etc. with appropriate and accurate information Monitor and manage groups and individuals using the recreation center Monitor and manage scheduled programs, classes, activities, etc. Assist with set-up and breakdown of activities and cleaning of program areas Maintain information necessary for accurate reporting such as fees collected, deposits, registrations and attendance Attend and participate in staff meetings, staff trainings, etc. Provide exceptional customer service The selected applicant must possess great communication skills to ensure the highest level of customer service, have knowledge of safe work practices, ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions, and have the ability to be trained in RecTrac (recreational software). The physical requirements of the job require the ability to perform the physical duties of this job, which includes lifting up to 50 lbs. The Job is

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED Valid Driver's License "OR" or reliable means of transportation Prior computer experience using Word and Excel software programs Prior customer service experience Prior office equipment experience An Ideal Candidate Would Also Possess (Preferred Qualifications): Associate's Degree or higher in Education or a closely related field Prior experience with recreation management software Prior cash handling experience Current First Aid and CPR certification "OR" the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire) Bilingual
