Membership and Outreach Attendants must be dynamic, problem-solving Penn State students with the ability to uphold Campus Recreation policies and procedures. They must have the ability to excel in customer service and engage with patrons. Attendants must have the knowledge and skills to answer telephone calls, work face-to-face with patrons, and provide facility tours to guests.- No Tennis Background required
- Responsibilities
- Greeting patrons with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Conduct membership and court fee transactions and process program registrations efficiently.
- Troubleshooting issues with membership/membership renewals and court times.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries about Campus Recreation programs and services and directing patrons to appropriate staff when needed.
- Assist in answering telephones and engage with patrons face-to-face.
- Conduct facility tours for guests.
- Promote Penn State Campus Recreation memberships, programs, and services to the community.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor. Personal/Professional Development and Responsibilities

- Give and receive performance feedback.
- Recognize limitations and work to improve.
- To function as a contributing member of the Campus Recreation team. Requirements
- Must successfully complete the following 3 clearances:
- PA State Police Criminal Background Check
- PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- FBI Criminal Background Check
- Successfully complete Pediatric CPR/First Aid after hire
- Ability to positively interact with patrons and employees alike.
- Strong critical thinking skills. Working Conditions
- Average of 6-10 hours worked per week.
- Work will take place on the University Park Campus.
- Must be able to accommodate a variable work schedule that will include mornings, evening, weekends, and University breaks.
