Job Description
Position Summary The Athletics Game Day Assistant plays a vital role in creating a positive game-day experience for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and fans. This position assists with event setup, scores table operations including scoreboard and book-keeping, customer service, and facility management before, during, and after athletic contests. Key Responsibilities Assist with setup and breakdown of athletic venues, including signage, tables, equipment, and seating. Help operate the scoreboard, game clock, music, or public address system. Capture photos and post on social media. Monitor facilities to maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment. Assist with post-game cleanup, equipment storage, and venue reset. Provide excellent customer service while representing the athletic department in a professional manner. Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings and some weekends. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with large crowds. Basic knowledge of athletics and sporting events. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods. Preferred Skills Familiarity with scoreboard, book-keeping, or sports event operations. Social media or photography experience is a plus. CPR/First Aid certification
