Reports to:
Reservations Manager Qualifications:
Ability to communicate superbly in English. High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to enter data precisely and prioritizes attention to detail. Experience in customer service. Prior airline reservation and reservation system experience preferred (Sabre/Interact/Videcom). Technologically skilled and have used technology in a professional setting. Ability to work flexible week and weekend hours. Basic Alaska geography knowledge preferred. Ability to work onsite and commute reliably. Flexibility to work any day of the week including weekends and varied hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
These shall include, but are not limited to the following; Answering incoming calls and emails in a prompt and friendly manner. Assisting customers with reservations (new, changes and refunds). Collecting payment for reservations. Thinking and reacting quickly with a sense of urgency to timesensitive problem situations. Remaining calm during adverse conditions. Solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Learning and maneuvering computerized reservations to help assist customers with questions and bookings. Providing conflict resolution with internal/external customer concerns and requests. Maintaining confidentiality for customers' bookings and personal information. Working with minimal supervision, while maintaining focus and safety awareness around multiple employees and distractions. Providing legendary customer service and ensuring that all decisions being made are with the customers and companies best interest in mind.
