Ready for Your Next Step in Café Leadership? Mika's Cafe is looking for an experienced café or restaurant leader who's ready for the opportunity to take real ownership of a café's day-to-day operation. This is a hands-on management position. You'll spend much of your time working alongside the team, serving guests and leading the café through its busiest hours. You'll also have the opportunity to take increasing responsibility for the people, systems and day-to-day decisions that keep Mika's running successfully. What You'll Do As Café Manager, you'll work closely with the owner while progressively taking responsibility for the café's day-to-day operation.

You'll:

Lead the team and set the standard for a welcoming, consistent guest experience Work hands-on alongside the team, including barista and food-service responsibilities Hire, onboard and train employees Coach team members, provide feedback and address performance issues Create and manage employee schedules Manage ordering, inventory and day-to-day operational needs Maintain product, cleanliness, service and operational standards Help establish and improve café systems and procedures Monitor sales, labor and other key business metrics Track progress toward financial and operational goals and communicate results to ownership Identify opportunities to improve the guest experience and café performance Support catering and marketing initiatives in partnership with the owner You'll also work alongside the owner and an experienced restaurant operations advisor to strengthen Mika's systems, clarify standards and continue developing your management skills. Strong candidates will have:

Previous leadership experience in a café, coffee shop, restaurant or similar hospitality environment Hands-on barista and espresso experience Knowledge of coffee preparation and latte art Food-service experience Experience training and developing employees Confidence providing feedback, coaching and accountability Strong communication and organizational skills Comfort working in a hands-on leadership role An understanding of basic restaurant or café financial performance A desire to learn, grow and take on increasing responsibility Experience with hiring, scheduling, inventory management and ordering is strongly preferred. Schedule This is an hourly position averaging approximately 35 hours per week. Mika's is open daily from 7:30 AM-5:00 PM. This position will primarily work daytime hours, but the Café Manager must have the flexibility and availability necessary to support the needs of the business, including weekends and occasional schedule changes or coverage when needed. Compensation & Growth Starting pay: $26-$29/hour, depending on experience. This role is designed to grow as you do. You'll receive a performance review around the 90-day mark, with opportunities for additional compensation as you successfully take ownership of agreed-upon management responsibilities. As the role develops, there may also be opportunities for performance incentives tied to clearly defined café goals.
