The Kitchen Manager provides a safe, sanitary work environment that conforms to all standards and regulations; interviews, trains, develops, empowers, coaches/counsels, and resolves problems through open communication. Manage and operate the restaurant within budget, including sales, labor, purchasing, and production.
Responsibilities:
Works with the team to maximize sales and optimize profits by managing food and labor costs, inventory, and controllable cash to achieve forecasting and budget results. Leads every shift with passion and drive to create an efficient, productive work environment while adhering to Fresh Off the Boat Fish Grill guidelines, purchasing agreements, and controlling the cost of goods. Run high-volume service periods from the kitchen to ensure food quality, service, and presentation are up to Fresh Off the Boat Fish Grill standards. Ensures a safe production environment, cleanliness, organization, and maintenance to ensure a "noticeably clean" restaurant. Performs thorough line checks and facility walks with proper follow-up and documentation and participates in all Health inspections. Performs end-of-month procedures to Fresh Off the Boat Fish Grill standards. Manages all BOH employees per Fresh Off the Boat Fish Grill policies and applicable laws to include interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and development of employees. Plans to assign and direct work, performance appraisals, rewarding, and disciplining employees. Partners with the Director of Operations on managing the P&L and participating in all financial/performance calls/meetings. Facilitates formal and informal channels of development for supervisors and team members. Manages BOH employee schedules and labor costs and reports payroll hours to comply with company standards and California State laws. Runs inspirational, informative, and influential pre-shift lineups and team meetings.
Qualifications :
3 - 5 years of kitchen management experience, preferably in a Kitchen Manager role. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Gmail, Word, and Excel. Must have or be willing to get ServSafe Certification. Must possess exceptional written and oral communication skills, a high level of personal integrity, strong interpersonal and motivational skills, the ability to supervise and instill cooperation in staff effectively, and the ability to work well under pressure. Attention to detail, well-organized, and able to multitask. High level of personal initiative, action, and results-oriented.
Pay:
$28.00 - $30.00 per hour
