Chef de Cuisine / Kitchen Manager We're looking for a passionate, hands-on Chef de Cuisine / Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team and help create a food program that brings people together. This role is ideal for a chef who loves great food, strong hospitality, and building a positive kitchen culture. As the Chef de Cuisine / Kitchen Manager, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, lead the culinary team, maintain consistency and quality, and help shape a menu that reflects our guests, community, and the season. You'll be a key part of creating a welcoming destination built around approachable food, thoughtful ingredients, and memorable experiences. Responsibilities Leadership & Operations Lead daily kitchen operations including prep, service, opening, and closing procedures Manage, train, and support kitchen team members Create a positive, respectful, and team-oriented kitchen culture Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and organization Work alongside the team during service and lead by example Develop and maintain kitchen systems, recipes, and procedures Menu & Culinary Development Help create and execute seasonal menus that reflect the concept and community Develop approachable, high-quality dishes with attention to flavor, presentation, and consistency Maintain recipe standards, portion control, and plating guidelines Collaborate with leadership on menu ideas, specials, and culinary direction Stay current with food trends, local ingredients, and guest preferences Inventory & Cost Management Manage ordering, receiving, and relationships with food vendors Maintain proper inventory levels and reduce waste Monitor food costs, labor, and kitchen efficiency Complete regular inventory counts and ensure proper product rotation Support financial goals while maintaining quality standards Team Development Train and mentor cooks and kitchen staff Create clear expectations and accountability within the kitchen Support scheduling, staffing needs, and daily workflow Promote a safe, organized, and respectful work environment Encourage growth and learning within the team Guest Experience Take pride in every dish leaving the kitchen Understand that great food is a key part of hospitality Listen to guest feedback and continuously improve the experience Work closely with front-of-house leadership to create a seamless guest experience Qualifications Previous Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or similar leadership experience Strong culinary background with experience managing a professional kitchen Passion for creating quality food in a fast-paced environment Strong organization, communication, and leadership skills Experience with ordering, inventory, food costs, and kitchen operations Ability to coach and develop a team Comfortable working hands-on alongside the kitchen team Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays The Ideal Candidate You are a chef who enjoys being part of the community and creating a place people want to return to.
