The General Manager (GM) is a multifaceted and mission-critical leader responsible for the holistic performance of the Food Hall. This role directly oversees the financial health, exemplary guest experience, proactive vendor service, meticulous facility maintenance, and sustained team development and morale. Furthermore, the GM is charged with cultivating win-win partnerships with both vendors and team members, and executing strategic marketing and community engagement initiatives to drive revenue and strengthen the Food Hall's overall community appeal.RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Financial Management Ensures the bar is operated and managed in a profitable manner with daily inventory checks, regular bar promotions to increase sales and collaborations with liquor vendors to subsidize costs Driving sales to the Food Hall through regular activations and promotions Networking and establishing a presence within the Doral community P&L Monthly review and management with corporate on a monthly basis. Able to explain all f&b costs, trends, variances and opportunities Analyzes vendor sales reports, spots trends, makes recommendations to ensure optimal vendor success Oversees the use of weekly and period declining budgets for all controllable expense categories Vendor Relations Responsible for keeping all vendor stalls at full capacity (sourcing, courting, and onboarding) Monitors performance of vendors to ensure profitability for the Food Hall Communicates and proposes solutions for gaps in vendor management to the CEO Facilitates open discussions and communication with vendor partners to improve organizational efficiencies and practices Resolves vendor complaints and concerns Builds win-win partnership with vendor partners Operations & Compliance Ensures the daily opening and closing procedures, service, and overall cleanliness of the facility are being performed Oversees operations, service, compliance and overall cleanliness of Food Hall Vets and approves staff work schedules, and audits hourly team member schedules to ensure coverage for meal periods Communicates and proposes solutions for gaps in operational processes, training, and guest service Trains and implements all new operations and procedural changes as it pertains to improving policies and procedures Responsible for all maintenance of equipment, deep cleans and service providers Team Leadership Manages the AGM and Supervisor(s), Events & Social Coordinator and facilitates their development through coaching and feedback Promotes, works, and acts in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of City Food Hall Oversees the hiring, disciplinary, termination process and documentation for all personnel Provides leadership and coaching to Supervisors in the areas of guest service, recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring employees to achieve goals Develops a culture of teamwork, empowerment, service, and fun by ensuring all team members know why their job is important Conducts weekly team meetings Leads by exampleQUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE
- Post Secondary School, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Five (5) or more years of experience as a General Manager in a hotel or restaurant with annual sales of at least $3 million dollars
- Restaurant opening experience preferred
- At least 5 years of P&L responsibility with experience in creating: o Declining Budgets o Annual sales budgets o P&L analysis

- Knowledge of cloud-based management systems
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Creative problem solver abilities. Must be able to identify real obstacles and viable solutions.

- Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace and MS Office
- Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Industry knowledge and strong passion for guest service
