Full-time Responsibilities:
Lead overall store operations at the Schaumburg location to maximize sales, profitability, guest satisfaction, and employee engagement. Learn, absorb, and implement established store operation manuals, QSC&A standards, and food safety protocols onto the dining room and kitchen floors. Provide hands-on On-the-Job Training (OJT) for Front-of-House and Back-of-House staff, coaching team members on service standards and strict sanitation procedures. Manage labor scheduling and staffing levels based on sales forecasting and budget targets while ensuring full compliance with Illinois and Federal labor laws. Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and cost controls to minimize food waste and optimize Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). Maintain strict adherence to local, state, and federal food safety and health department regulations, acting as the primary contact during inspections. Manage store P&L performance and drive local store marketing initiatives within the Schaumburg market.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of restaurant or hospitality management experience (Shift Manager, Assistant Manager, or General Manager) is required Business-level English proficiency is required Proven hands-on floor management experience, including providing direct OJT and sanitation instruction to staff, is required Demonstrated experience in labor scheduling, inventory management, purchasing, and COGS control is required ServSafe Manager Certification and BASSET Certification (or the ability to obtain both within a specified period post-hire) are required Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts, is required Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs is required Experience managing high-volume, Asian, or Japanese-style restaurant concepts is preferred Japanese language proficiency is preferred to facilitate communication with corporate headquarters and area managers Familiarity with POS systems, timekeeping software, and inventory control systems is preferred
