TEMPORARY FULL-TIME KITCHEN MANAGER

Tigg's Canteen Services is seeking a dependable and motivated Temporary Full-Time Kitchen Manager to join our team at the Porter County Jail in Valparaiso, Indiana . Responsibilities include:

Leading, directing, and assisting inmates within the kitchen Leading and instructing kitchen staff and inmates during meal preparation Assisting with food preparation, baking, cooking, and clean-up Following company recipes and established food service procedures Maintaining a safe, organized, and productive kitchen environment Working effectively within a structured correctional setting Performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds What We're Looking For Successful candidates should have: A high school diploma or equivalent Strong leadership and communication skills The ability to work well in a structured correctional environment The ability to read and follow company recipes The ability to lead, instruct, and assist with kitchen and meal preparation duties The ability to lift up to 50 pounds A dependable, positive, and professional attitude Schedule & Requirements Temporary Full-Time position Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays Must be flexible to work varying days and hours Typical shift times fall between 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM Must receive clearance approval to enter the facility Previous food service or kitchen experience is a plus - but don't let that stop you from applying.
