Role Description The Shift Supervisor / Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role responsible for overseeing daily store operations in a high-volume retail environment. This is a Builder-Phase position designed for a leader to stand side-by-side with the Founder for the first 30 days, optimize floor operations, and build the point milestones required to unlock their own hiring and management budget. Key responsibilities include leading and coaching team members during shifts, managing premium product preparation (including strict portion controls and digital meat weights on our sub lines), maintaining pristine cleanliness, and ensuring high-energy customer service. The position involves monitoring inventory, tracking stock rotation from local bakeries, handling basic cash management, and troubleshooting operational issues as they arise. You will also assist with staff scheduling, training new employees, and implementing company quality standards. This role works closely with the executive team to enforce our $13.50+ average ticket architecture, improve margins, and earn the budget to hire a full team .

Qualifications Experience :

Proven experience in food service, quick-service restaurants (QSR), or retail hospitality with clear responsibilities in shift leadership, shift supervision, or assistant management. Experience with sandwich assembly or portion tracking is a massive plus.

Leadership :

Strong skills in team leadership, active floor coaching, and delivering immediate performance feedback to guide staff during busy, high-volume rushes.

Customer Service :

Elite communication skills, including a proven ability to handle guest concerns professionally and maintain an electric, welcoming storefront atmosphere.

Financial & POS :

Solid experience with basic cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) systems, register closeout counts, and sharp attention to detail for accurate transactions and shift reports.

Compliance:

Complete commitment to maintaining food safety, workplace sanitation, and health guidelines (ServSafe or equivalent compliance preferred).

Execution :

Strong time management and organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks, cross-train staff, and cut labor hours dynamically if traffic patterns shift.

Physical :

Comfort with standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced setting, and performing hands-on operational and kitchen tasks.

Availability :
