Effectively manage assigned staff to achieve overall revenue goals, financial results, guest satisfaction, and positive team member experience. 5+ years of progressive hotel management experience required. Must be able to manage multiple hotel and corporate priorities in a fast-paced environment. Typical Schedule is Tuesday through Saturday 2p-11p but must be available to work other shifts as needed Must communicate effectively within and outside the organization and effectively problem-solve with all guests and employees alike Must possess strong leadership skills.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. A college degree or equivalent experience is a plus. Job Duties and Responsibilities Assists and responds to guests positively, while providing the highest level of service to the guest. Addresses guest needs and concerns proactively and effectively. Set a strong example for other associates through exemplary guest service. Ensure full compliance with Hotel operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards Communicates the needs of clients as identified on Group Resumes and BEOs to appropriate hotel staff. Works with the management team to identify opportunities for elevating service. Uses available tools and knowledge to suggest ideas to maximize guest satisfaction scores. Communicates results from guest satisfaction surveys with the hotel team and addresses needs and trends that have been identified from the survey results. Manages expenses according to budgeted/forecast guidelines to maximize hotel profitability. Responsible for effective labor management of assigned departments through appropriate scheduling and monitoring of payroll. Adjusts expenditures according to fluctuating business needs promptly. Manages and maintains company assets to stay within budget guidelines and prolong the life of company resources. Responsible for assisting with the ongoing training and development of hotel associates and maintaining all necessary training records. Responsible for effectively interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing hotel associates. Addresses performance issues accordingly and takes appropriate corrective action to hold employees accountable. Motivates hotel staff by setting goals, providing ongoing feedback, and rewarding/recognizing employees. Promotes fair treatment and open-door policies with all associates. Responsible for effective self/workload management and adjusting personal work schedules as business needs dictate. Demonstrates clear and effective written and verbal skills. Promotes a productive, professional, and collaborative work environment. Provide clear directions to the hotel team. Plays an active role in leading daily team meetings and weekly/monthly departmental/hotel meetings to ensure proper communication and planning. Assists in conducting routine inspections of the hotel operation/building to maintain standards. Ensures a clean and safe work environment. Participates in the Hotel Manager on Duty program.
