Description:
The Assistant Bakery Manager plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of our bakery, assisting the Bakery Manager in all aspects of daily activities. This position requires a highly organized and motivated individual with a passion for baking and a strong understanding of bakery operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, a commitment to food safety and sanitation, and the ability to train and develop team members. This role involves overseeing sales, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the daily operations of the bakery, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company standards. Supervise and support bakery staff, providing coaching and training to enhance their skills and performance. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste through effective inventory management. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines. Provide excellent customer service, resolving customer issues and ensuring customer satisfaction. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges effectively. Contribute to a positive and productive work environment through effective communication and leadership.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a bakery or food service environment. Working knowledge of bakery operations, including baking techniques and equipment. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Working knowledge of inventory management principles. Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in culinary arts or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a bakery setting. Experience in training and development of bakery staff.
