Full-time Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Tropical Smoothie Cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient business performance, and a positive team environment. This leadership role includes managing staff, driving sales, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring profitability while upholding the brand's commitment to providing fresh food, smoothies, and a welcoming atmosphere.Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Oversee all day-to-day cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures Ensure compliance with Tropical Smoothie Cafe brand standards, health regulations, and safety policies Monitor food quality, smoothie preparation, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction Maintain inventory control, order supplies, and manage food costsLeadership & Team Development:
Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise team members Foster a positive, energetic, and productive work environment Provide coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing employee development Ensure proper staffing levels to meet operational needsCustomer Service Excellence:
Deliver outstanding guest experiences and resolve customer concerns professionally Promote a friendly, upbeat atmosphere aligned with the Tropical Smoothie Cafe brand Build customer loyalty through exceptional service and community engagementFinancial Performance:
Drive sales growth through local marketing, promotions, and operational efficiency Manage labor budgets, food costs, and overall profitability Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve performance Meet or exceed sales goals and key performance indicatorsAdministrative Duties:
Prepare schedules, payroll, and performance reports Manage cash handling, deposits, and financial controls Ensure accurate recordkeeping and reporting Coordinate with upper management on business goals and initiativesQualifications:
Previous management experience in restaurant, food service, or retail leadership preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Financial management and problem-solving skills Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededPhysical Requirements:
