In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of dietary management, ensuring high-quality nutrition services that promote resident well-being and comply with health regulations. Your leadership will drive team performance, uphold food safety standards, and optimize food service delivery to enhance the overall quality of life for our residents. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional committed to excellence in clinical nutrition, management, and compassionate care. Duties Lead and manage the dietary department, supervising food service teams to ensure efficient daily operations and exceptional resident satisfaction Develop, implement, and monitor care plans that incorporate nutritional assessments, dietary restrictions, and individualized nutrition needs based on patient or resident conditions Ensure compliance with all health regulation policies, including food safety management and food service health code standards Oversee food production processes, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to meet nutritional guidelines and resident preferences Manage budgets effectively by controlling costs related to food procurement, staffing, and equipment while maintaining quality standards Conduct patient assessments related to nutrition status, including tube feeding protocols and diagnostic evaluations as needed for acute or chronic care patients Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) related to dietary services, documenting care plans, assessments, and compliance activities Lead efforts in health coaching by educating residents on nutrition best practices and promoting healthy eating habits Requirements Valid certification as a Dietary Manager or equivalent credential with active state licensure where applicable Proven experience in assisted living settings or healthcare environments with a focus on patient assessment and clinical nutrition Strong knowledge of food safety management, health regulation policies, and food service health code compliance Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing food service teams and supervising staff in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records related to dietetics and care plans Experience in managing budgets within a dietary department while ensuring high-quality food production standards Knowledge of physiology related to nutrition, tube feeding procedures, diagnostic evaluation processes, and care planning for diverse resident needs Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including acute care professionals Ability to adapt quickly to regulatory updates and implement best practices in food safety management Join us in making a meaningful difference through exceptional dietary services!
