Job Description

A respected independent restaurant in New Hampshire's Lakes Region is seeking a talented Kitchen Manager to help lead a thoughtful, high-standard kitchen. We're looking for a hands-on leader who cares about the details: food that's executed consistently, a kitchen that's organized and prepared, and a team that takes pride in its work. The restaurant offers a polished but welcoming dining experience, and this role is central to delivering it night after night. The Kitchen Manager will lead daily back-of-house operations, strengthen kitchen systems, and help develop a reliable, professional team. The right person brings both culinary judgment and operational discipline—and knows how to set a clear standard while treating people with respect. What you'll do Lead kitchen service and keep communication clear across stations Maintain standards for flavor, presentation, portions, and ticket times Train and coach cooks, prep staff, and dish staff Keep the kitchen organized, stocked, clean, and ready for service Manage ordering, receiving, inventory, and product rotation Track food cost, waste, prep levels, and labor Maintain food safety and sanitation standards Work with restaurant leadership to improve systems and support the guest experience What we're looking for Experience leading a kitchen in a full-service restaurant Strong cooking fundamentals and attention to detail Experience with ordering, inventory, labor, and food-cost controls A steady presence during busy service Clear communication and a fair, accountable leadership style ServSafe certification preferred Job type:
