Executive Assistant/Shelter Manager of Emmaus House Seeking an experienced professional to direct and coordinate Emmaus House and support individuals/families in the community struggling with homelessness, will report to the Program Administrator.

Essential Functions and responsibilities:

Ensure that Emmaus House is operating as designed and achieving stated outcomes ensuring all State, and Local laws and regulations as they apply to the Emmaus House and agency policies are met. This includes assessing the adequacy of staffing and resources, and insuring the safety and security of residents and staff. Maintain and update the resident record database for timely completion of statistics and reports. Maintain a clean and safe facility. Report all hazards to appropriate authorities; The Program Administrator and/or St. Margaret's Corporation Board Administration. Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Emmaus House staff. Ensure best practices are followed, and staff performance issues are addressed. Ensure staff receives weekly supervision and a supervisory process that provides employees with performance feedback, which culminates into an annual performance evaluation. Serve as advocate and resource for Emmaus House residents and staff. Establish short and long term objectives. Ensure that Emmaus House goals are met by frequently assessing compliance with funding sources, policies and procedures which include documentation, reporting and inspections. Monitor expenses and use of assets. Make budget recommendations to Program Administrator and/or St. Margaret's Corporation Board. To prepare for an annual evaluation of Emmaus House and coordinate for approval and submittal to Program Administrator and/or St. Margaret's Corporation Act as a liaison to all governmental agencies that interface at the local and state levels. Interpret and uphold policies and procedures of the Emmaus House Provide emergency relief as necessary for staffing coverage. Provide On-call counsel and guidance. This is a full time, Monday- Friday position, 40 hours per week, with the expectations of on-call support.

Qualifications:

Executive Assistant/shelter manager will be culturally competent by showing compassion and sensitivity for serving the community of women in crisis and their needs. Must be able to effectively communicate with and provide support to individuals struggling with trauma, mental illness, alcohol, substance abuse, and assist in overcoming a variety of barriers transitioning from emergency shelter to permanent housing. Entry:

Bachelor's Degree; relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience working with homeless and/or transitional housing. Supervisory and Administrative experience required. $21.63 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
