Job Summary Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food service industry, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high operational standards. This role requires effective leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage various aspects of restaurant operations, including staff training, inventory control, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service best practices. Manage inventory control processes to minimize waste and ensure adequate stock levels. Handle cash management duties, including cash handling and reconciliation at the end of shifts. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly. Assist in budgeting and financial planning to meet restaurant goals. Participate in interviewing and hiring new staff members to build a strong team. Support the Restaurant Manager in implementing training and development programs for staff. Experience Proven experience in restaurant management or as an Assistant Manager in a quick service or fast food environment is preferred. Strong background in food service management with knowledge of food handling, production, and safety standards. Experience with kitchen management, including supervising kitchen staff and coordinating food production. Familiarity with casual dining or fine dining settings is advantageous. Previous experience in hospitality management or related fields is a plus. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Culinary experience or knowledge of cooking techniques is beneficial.
