POSITION SUMMARY
At Siempre Natural, our Assistant Managers are the culinary co-captains! As an Assistant Manager you lead by exemplifying teamwork, our values, and are central in achieving our mission. The Assistant Manager is truly a team player by working closely with both the manager and the team. They are responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing, training staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness. The Assistant Manager will also assist in creating schedules, monitoring inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations all while providing next level customer and employee experiences. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. Supervise and train staff members, including providing ongoing feedback and coaching. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and food safety standards. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by resolving customer complaints and inquiries. Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to ensure optimal stock levels. Assist in developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and drive profitability. Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant. Assist team members in the set-up, preparation, and serving of menu items as needed. Afterall, you are the master expeditor. Set up, label, stock, and transfer all necessary supplies and ingredients in their proper place and ensure they are easily accessible. Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen/work area, e.g. wash trays and cooking equipment, clean floors, sanitize countertops, sanitize cutting boards, and maintain all areas to health code standards. Maintain a clean and organized restaurant by making sure all waste is removed and the surfaces are sanitized at the end of the work shift and/or day. Comply with food sanitation guidelines and safety rules. Collaborate with the manager and team to ensure the best guest and employee experience. Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to a tee. Assist in developing new menu item ideas. While your role has defined responsibilities, you'll assist across departments when needed to support team success. POSITION EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
Bilingual:
English/Spanish preferred but not required. Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions/recipe accurately. Strong organizational and time management skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel). Must obtain and maintain a Texas Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire or present an active certification as approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). Must obtain and maintain a Certified Food Manager Program Certification (CFM) as approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). Must be able to pass in-house training. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
JOB KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in a fast-food or quick-service restaurant, preferably in a supervisor or above role. Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team. Customer service experience with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences to customers and resolving inquiries/conflict/complaints. Knowledge and understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations. Knowledge of restaurant management software and POS systems is a plus. Good communication and teamwork skills. The ability to multi-task based on customer flow and seasonal demands is required.

Working Conditions:
The individual spends over 95% of his/her time in a combined working environment between an air-conditioned, cold, and heated area depending on their workstation with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
