Kitchen Manager Choke Canyon Bar-B-Q - Schulenburg, TX Position Type Full-Time Competitive Pay Performance-Based Wage Increase Upon Completion of Training Position Overview Choke Canyon Bar-B-Q is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our leadership team. We are seeking a motivated individual with strong leadership skills who is passionate about food quality, cleanliness, organization, and developing employees. This position will begin at our standard training pay while you learn our systems, recipes, and operating procedures. Upon successful completion of training and demonstration of leadership ability, your hourly wage will increase. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience managing or leading a commercial kitchen Experience supervising kitchen staff Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and leadership skills Reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ pounds Ability to stand for extended periods Responsibilities Lead and supervise all back-of-house operations Ensure food quality and consistency on every order Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen Train, coach, and develop kitchen employees Monitor food preparation, portioning, and presentation Maintain food safety and sanitation standards Manage prep production and inventory levels Assist with ordering and receiving deliveries Help control food cost and reduce waste Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained properly Work closely with management to improve kitchen operations Lead by example through professionalism and a strong work ethic What We're Looking For We aren't just looking for someone who can cook—we're looking for a leader.
