Job Description:
As a Bilingual Front of House Manager at our Mexican seafood restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front of house, while also providing outstanding service to our guests. Your fluency in both English and Spanish will enable you to effectively communicate with customers and lead a diverse team of servers, hosts, and bartenders to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the front of house, including managing staff schedules, assigning duties, and ensuring that all shifts are adequately staffed. 2. Train, coach, and mentor front of house staff to uphold high standards of service, professionalism, and hospitality. 3. Monitor dining room activity and guest satisfaction, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely and efficient manner. 4. Manage reservations and seating arrangements, ensuring optimal table turnover and guest flow. 5. Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages to guests. 6. Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints, resolving issues and ensuring a positive dining experience. 7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area, including dining room, bar, and restrooms, in accordance with health and safety standards. 8. Implement and enforce restaurant policies and procedures. 9. Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience, increase revenue, and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff members. 2. Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in the restaurant industry is preferred, with a strong understanding of front of house operations. 3. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. 4. Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle challenging situations calmly and efficiently. 5. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. 6. Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems (SpotOn) is a plus. 7. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
