Position Type:
Hourly, non-exempt Chicken Maison is hiring an experienced Senior Shift Lead for our high-volume Santa Ana location. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who works well under pressure, keeps the team focused, and knows how to deliver excellent food and guest service in a fast-paced restaurant. The right candidate will lead from the floor, support daily operations, coach team members, and help maintain Chicken Maison's standards for hospitality, food quality, cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. What You'll Do Lead assigned shifts and keep restaurant operations organized and running smoothly Direct and support front-of-house and back-of-house team members Provide friendly, accurate, and efficient guest service Assign workstations and adjust team coverage based on business volume Coach employees and provide clear, respectful direction Help train new and existing team members on restaurant procedures and service standards Monitor food quality, ticket times, order accuracy, and presentation Follow and enforce food safety, sanitation, cash-handling, attendance, and workplace policies Complete opening, closing, cash-control, and shift-change procedures Respond professionally to guest concerns and resolve routine service issues Communicate staffing, maintenance, employee, and operational concerns to management Work alongside the team during rush periods, including taking orders, preparing food, packaging orders, cleaning, and restocking Support inventory counts, product rotation, and waste-control practices Help create a positive, respectful, and accountable workplace What We're Looking For Previous restaurant leadership, shift lead, or supervisory experience Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant strongly preferred Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional during busy periods Willingness to lead by example and work in any area of the restaurant when needed Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Current California Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one within the required timeframe Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus Compensation Base wage: $18.50- 25.
