Job Description

Overview:
KAIR is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Food Pantry Coordinator. This role will oversee all aspects of our pantry operations, including stocking shelves, managing volunteers, distributing food, completing intake applications, and ensuring compliance with all regulations including cleanliness and data entry. This role requires a compassionate individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently. This position requires much cleaning, stocking, and moving boxes.
Responsibilities:
  • Stock shelves and move boxes of food as needed.
  • Clean pantry, including freezers, refrigerators, and floors, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Distribute food to clients based on family size, transportation, and available resources.
  • Complete intake applications and interview clients to determine additional needs, provide assistance such as gas vouchers or referrals.
  • Assist with Department of Children and Families applications and other necessary referrals.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support pantry operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including daily temperature checks and logs, and annual certifications.
  • Input all client information and food donations into Feeding South Florida software programs.
Requirements:
  • Middle Keys resident.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes.
  • Proficiency in using a computer for data entry and communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage groups of people independently.

Pay:
$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
