Job Description

Description Our customer is the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position directly supports the DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24x7 DISA Global Field Command (DGFC). The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector and Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) have an opening for a Transport/IP (TRIP) Swing Shift Supervisor at Scott AFB, IL. Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship is required along with a current clearance.
    SHIFT SCHEDULE 3PM
    to 11PM
      Primary Responsibilities:
      • Lead a team of Leidos employees and sub-contractors. Responsible for defining the team's direction and ensure that individual and team goals align with the organization and customer mission.
      • Manage daily contractor operations, serving as the focal point for contractor assigned tasks, responsible for addressing and mediating performance issues.
      • Provide guidance, support, and resources to help team members succeed and feel motivated to contribute their best work.
      • Foster an environment of employee growth and development, promoting continuous learning and provide opportunities for skill enhancement.
      • Responsible for team staffing activities, as well as addressing performance concerns, resolving disputes or disagreements within the team.
      • Work directly with supported customers and engineers across other NOCs to ensure maximum network availability to minimize or eliminate mission and operational impact.
      • Proactively monitor network alarms across platform specific network management tools.
      • Utilize incident management applications to document all aspects of reported outages/degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions during the lifecycle of a service impacting network incident.
      • Assess, identify and recommend resolutions to various network incidents and/or deficiencies leveraging knowledge in one or more of following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, optical transport network, MPLS, time division multiplexing, SDH/SONET.
      Basic Qualifications:
      • Requires BS degree and 2
      • 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. (Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.)
      • Hold DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date.
      • Able to work in a 24x7 shift work environment.
      • Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
      • Requires working knowledge and understanding of both Transport and IP network topologies.
      • Prior experience managing and supervising staff in
      IT or Operations Preferred Qualifications:
      • Tech control facility or cyber transport experience
      • Circuit actions and vendor experience
      • IP architecture experience
      • Telco NOC, inside or outside plant experience.
      • Experience with MS Office suite, i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, TEAMs

      Pay Range $59,150.00
