Full-Time We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Culinary Director to join our team at Dahlia Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, a member of the Alliance Health Group family of skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers. As a leader in the culinary services department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high-quality meals and exceptional dining experiences for our residents. About the
Role:
As the Culinary Director , you will oversee the daily operations of the dietary department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing departmental budgets, and leading a dedicated team committed to exceptional resident care. Your passion for providing nutritious, high-quality meals and a positive dining experience will shine through in every aspect of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department to ensure quality food service and resident satisfaction Collaborate with dietitians and culinary staff to develop nutritious, appealing menus that meet residents' dietary needs Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations Manage food, supply, and labor budgets while maintaining quality and efficiency Monitor inventory levels and oversee purchasing of food and supplies Recruit, train, supervise, and support dietary team members Foster strong communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to promote exceptional resident care Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Current ServSafe Certification required Minimum of 2 Years experience in oversight of food/food related services , preferably in healthcare or long-term care Associate degree or higher in Food Service Management, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Knowledge of food safety regulations, dietary guidelines, and budget management Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday Why Join Dalia Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation?
