Job Description
Key Responsibilities 1. Bar Operations Oversee the daily operations of the bar and ensure beverage quality, service standards, and operational efficiency. Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency across locations. 2. Beverage Development & Menu Management Develop and refine spirits-based cocktails and other signature beverages, with regular updates to the drink menu. Optimize beverage offerings based on brand positioning, seasonal trends, and customer preferences to enhance the guest experience. 3. Cost Control Manage inventory of alcoholic beverages, ingredients, and bar supplies while minimizing waste and controlling costs. Monitor product usage and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and profitability. 4. Team Training & Management Train, coach, and evaluate bar staff to ensure high standards of performance and service. Prepare and maintain bilingual (English/Chinese) beverage menus and training materials. 5. Compliance & Vendor Management Ensure compliance with New York State food safety regulations, alcohol service laws, and other applicable requirements. Coordinate with vendors on beverage purchasing, product selection, and new product evaluations to support continuous improvement. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of management experience in an upscale restaurant or bar. Proven experience in beverage development and quality control. Fluent in both English and Chinese, with the ability to independently prepare English menus and training materials. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
