This is an excellent opportunity for a current Hospital Food & Nutrition Director or an accomplished Assistant Director or senior hospital FNS Manager ready to step into a Director-level role. You'll lead both Food & Nutrition Services and a Diabetes & Nutrition Center , giving you responsibility across the operational and clinical sides of hospital nutrition. What You'll Be Doing As Director, you'll have overall responsibility for the operational, financial, clinical and personnel performance of Food & Nutrition Services and the Diabetes & Nutrition Center. You'll lead: Hospital Food & Nutrition Services operations Clinical nutrition services Diabetes and nutrition programming Patient meal services and delivery Therapeutic diets Menu development and food production Food safety and sanitation Infection-control compliance Quality and patient-safety initiatives Regulatory readiness and compliance Operating and capital budgets Staffing and FTE allocation Department managers and team development Vendor and service contracts Equipment purchasing Performance measurement and benchmarking Business planning and operational improvement You'll work closely with clinical and operational leadership to ensure Food & Nutrition Services is fully integrated into the hospital's overall continuum of patient care. Who We're Looking For We're looking specifically for a leader who understands hospital Food & Nutrition Services firsthand. You should already be comfortable operating within a hospital environment and understand the unique clinical, regulatory, patient-safety and operational requirements that come with providing nutrition and food services in an acute-care setting. Candidates without hospital experience will not be considered. The ideal candidate will have hands-on leadership experience with: Hospital food-service operations Clinical nutrition Patient food services Therapeutic diets Patient meal-delivery systems Healthcare food production Hospital regulatory compliance Food safety and sanitation Infection-control requirements Budget and financial management Staffing and workforce planning Quality and performance improvement Menu development Vendor management

Qualifications Required:

Previous hospital Food & Nutrition Services experience Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutrition Education or a related field At least 5 years of relevant healthcare/clinical food-service experience Demonstrated leadership experience within hospital food and nutrition operations Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, patient food services, regulatory compliance and food safety Ability to obtain ServSafe certification within 3 months of hire

Preferred:

Master's degree Registered Dietitian (RD) Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP) An RD credential is preferred, not required. If you're an experienced hospital Food & Nutrition leader without an RD credential, we still want to hear from you.
