Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager/Supervisor to lead our culinary team with passion and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety, and service in a fast-paced environment. Your leadership will inspire teamwork, uphold high standards of food safety and sanitation, and drive operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage diverse culinary activities, from fine dining to catering, while fostering a positive and productive workplace culture. Duties Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, chefs, and food service teams, to ensure smooth daily operations Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards and customer expectations Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize costs Ensure compliance with all food safety sanitizing procedures and health regulations across the kitchen Plan menus in collaboration with culinary staff, incorporating dietary requirements and catering needs Monitor shift management to ensure timely service during peak hours and special events such as banquets or large gatherings Implement food management practices that promote efficiency, consistency, and high standards of hospitality Conduct regular training on food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen equipment use to maintain a safe working environment Control costs through effective budgeting, portion control, and waste reduction strategies Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages professional growth and high morale among staff Experience Proven supervising experience in a busy kitchen or food service environment with a focus on team management Extensive banquet experience along with catering or fine dining background preferred Strong knowledge of food production techniques, menu planning, and culinary arts Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, cost control, and food safety procedures Experience managing diverse teams in restaurant or hospitality settings with a focus on leadership excellence Familiarity with dietary department standards and food handling regulations within the food industry Prior experience in restaurant management or food service management roles is highly desirable Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and service quality
Pay:
$25.85 - $31.13 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
