A Restaurant or Food Service Supervisor supervises food preparation and staff for a restaurant or dining hall. Manages budget for food supplies, equipment and staff; hires and trains staff; monitors food safety procedures. May plan menus or work with chefs or dieticians to plan menus. Works in a school, hospital, nursing home or other institution.
The Warehouse Shift Supervisor plays a key role in providing exceptional service to our customers. The successful candidate for this position should be a leader who motivates their shift to be a winning team. The successful candidate needs to take pride in their team, set goals, and inspire their team to reach these goals. The shift supervisor leads warehouse team members in safely and efficiently fulfilling orders for customers, ensuring that the order is shipped accurately and on time. The supervisor will oversee a team of approximately 35 people with the assistance of two additional team leads.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will work within our WMS to complete customer orders in the proper time frame You will communicate regularly with customer service regarding updates to orders You are responsible for warehouse team member performance You assist with process improvements You own safety on your shift You will perform team member evaluations at various times during the year You will have the responsibility to manage the labor cost for your operation You are happy to work 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM). Supervisor day is normally an hour before the shift and 20 mins after the shift
The Right Candidate:
High School Diploma required, a college degree is a plus Must be comfortable setting goals and discussing performance with associates Evidence of analytical reasoning and mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide Must be flexible to attend occasional meetings before the shift An ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of warehouse experience At least 2 years of supervisory experience Experience with a WMS system is helpful Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word RF scanner experience (preferred) About the
