Job Description
Food Services Leader - Front of House Catering (Full-Time)Toledo Zoo & Aquarium The Toledo Zoo is currently seeking a Food Services Leader- Front of House Catering. The ideal candidate will oversee the execution of events across the zoo grounds, utilize event orders (BEO), supervise food preparation, train and direct staff on event days while performing excellent customer service. Responsibilities of this role will include supervising personnel, maintaining safety and sanitation, cash handling, and supporting various food service areas. By assisting with inventory management, training, and equipment maintenance, this position ensures smooth operations while collaborating with vendors, customers, and zoo staff. This position adheres to Toledo Zoo policies and OSHA regulations.
This position reports to the Senior Food Services Manger- Catering is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over forty (40) in a work week. Minimum Training and ExperienceMinimum of three to five years of experience in food services management, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required skills knowledge and abilities.
Prefer degree in Food Service, Business, or related field.
Must possess required certification in food service sanitation.
Must be 21+ years of age.
Flexible schedule is a must, with the ability to work night and weekend hours.
Must have a valid drivers' license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
