$15.15 an hour Position Summary The Server is responsible for anticipating resident needs and delivering excellent customer service. This role supports meal service operations by serving food, maintaining dining room cleanliness, assisting with meal preparation, and supporting culinary team members as needed. Responsibilities also include clearing and cleaning tables, maintaining walkways, and helping ensure a safe, welcoming dining environment. Essential Responsibilities Provide prompt, courteous food service to residents. Maintain uniform and personal appearance in accordance with department dress code standards. Follow established sequence of service procedures. Pre-bus assigned sections and assist fellow team members as needed. Maintain a clean dining room, including tables and chairs. Practice a "clean as you go" policy at all times. Immediately report any illness of an infectious nature or any accident involving residents, coworkers, or yourself to the Director of Culinary Services or Manager on Duty. Understand and follow the Community's Safety Policy and Emergency and Fire Procedures. Report faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment issues, or potential hazards to the Director of Culinary Services and/or Maintenance Director. Promote and uphold the positive reputation of the Community. Ensure all equipment is clean and properly maintained. Perform other duties as reasonably assigned. Qualifications Current Arizona Food Handler's Card Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills required Ability to lift 25-75 pounds Experience caring for the elderly is a plus Skills & Abilities Strong communication skills Knowledge of health and safety regulations Ability to interact positively and respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers Reliable attendance Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays Physical & Mental Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and move throughout the dining room and facility Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, stooping, and squatting Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and assist with resident mobility, including pushing wheelchairs and helping residents walk, sit, and stand (using proper equipment and training as required) Manual dexterity sufficient to operate dining service equipment and handle food service items Ability to hear and communicate clearly in person and by telephone Visual ability including close, distance, and peripheral vision Ability to organize tasks, prioritize responsibilities, solve problems, and maintain concentration in a fast-paced environment
