The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, accurately handling transactions, and supporting food preparation and sanitation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food industry operations, POS systems, and customer engagement within a quick service or restaurant setting. Pay for this position starts at $15.16 plus tips (servers/cashiers have a tip pool with the kitchen staff). Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments efficiently and securely Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining a high level of customer service Upsell menu items to enhance sales and improve guest experience Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and workstations in accordance with sanitation standards Manage food handling responsibilities including proper storage, serving, and disposal Buss tables as needed to ensure a clean dining environment Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures at all times Engage with customers to promote a positive atmosphere and address any concerns professionally Experience Previous experience in food service, quick service & fast food restaurant, or retail environment preferred but not required Familiarity with POS systems a plus Experience in cashiering, food handling, serving, or cashier roles within a restaurant or café setting is advantageous Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, making change, and sales upselling are essential Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry is preferred Prior experience in grocery stores or retail math can be beneficial for managing transactions and inventory tasks This position offers an engaging work environment where excellent communication skills, efficiency, and a positive attitude are valued.
