The Glass Knife is one of Central Florida's most award-winning and sought-after culinary destinations. We are seeking full-time & part time Server/Cashiers to join our full-service front-of-house team. This role is essential to delivering the elevated hospitality experience our Guests expect. This is a base + tipped position, and full-time team members can typically expect to earn $20-$25+ per hour . Successful candidates will be efficient, attentive, and proactive, with a commitment to creating an exceptional Guest experience. The ideal Server has a warm, outgoing presence and thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This position is ideal for someone who is personable, patient, and genuinely enjoys engaging with Guests. Duties & Responsibilities Greet every Guest warmly and enthusiastically; maintain a pleasant and helpful demeanor at all times. Guide Guests through the menu, offering thoughtful suggestions and explaining preparation details when appropriate. Deliver fair, friendly, and courteous service that enhances the overall dining experience. Accurately handle payment transactions, including credit cards, vouchers, and other electronic payments. Issue receipts, refunds, or credits as needed. Promptly resolve Guest concerns and escalate issues when appropriate. Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and communication style in accordance with restaurant standards. Answer Guest questions and provide clear information about menu items, policies, and procedures. Communicate professionally and efficiently with both Guests and team members regarding orders, timing, and service needs. Create and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment; ensure tables, stations, and service areas remain orderly. Stay alert, proactive, and engaged; assist the Management team by seeking out tasks during slower periods. Take and enter orders accurately; coordinate seamlessly with the culinary and bar teams. Serve food and beverages promptly; check on Guests regularly and anticipate needs before being asked. Maintain table settings, remove courses, replenish utensils, and refill beverages as needed. Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently between seatings. Proactively anticipate and support Guest needs to ensure a memorable dining experience. Perform side work, cleaning, and prep tasks as assigned by leadership. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 1 year of previous full-service food & beverage experience required. Strong verbal communication skills and positive interpersonal skills. Ability to read and follow safety procedures, guidelines, and instructions in English. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds. Availability to work scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
